“LUMIER PHARMA” LLC Took Part in the Charity Auction “Inspired for Life”
On November 30, 2013 on the eve of World AIDS Day, “LUMIER PHARMA” LLC and more than 100 representatives of business structures took part in the benefit dinner and charity auction “Inspired for Life” in Kyiv. The event was organized by the International Charitable Foundation “International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine” (Alliance Ukraine), known as the executor of HIV prevention programmes at the national level. The objective of the benefit event was to draw attention to the problem of people susceptible to HIV and to obtain the support of business circles in fighting the epidemic in Ukraine.
The host of the event was famous Ukrainian TV celebrity Maria Efrosinina; charming Jamala and unrivaled Karl Frierson (vocalist of De Phazz) performed for the guests. The charity event was adorned by the presence of such celebrities as Tetiana Denysova, Mykola Tyshchenko and Oleksii Mochanov, who gave lots for the auction – their time and skills – in order to support people with the highest risk of HIV infection.
The proceeds from the auction amounted to USD 31,450. Those funds were spent on payment of basic needs of HIV-positive children who are patients of the Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Hospital of Motherhood and Child Protection (Okhmatdyt); repair of the in-patient department of Zaporizhzhia AIDS Center; as well as courses for physical rehabilitation of replacement therapy patients at Vinnytsia AIDS Center.
